Guide 3 - Changing Themes!
Hello all! In this guide, you will learn how to install themes onto your Moto A810!
To be able to do this, you will need:
1. A flashed Moto A810. Click here for the flashing guide.
2. A theme file. I have use the Themes Pack 1.2 for this guide. Download this theme and others here.
You will get:
Steps To Be Followed:
1. Extract the theme you just downloaded. Copy only the contents ('install.sh.txt', 'readme.txt' and 'Files' folder) to the "skins" folder on your memory card. Please create this folder if it does not exist with the exact name! All lower-case letters!
If you do not have a memory card, will post a tutorial on using FTP with the A810 very soon. You can actually use Bluetooth to transfer all the files inside the theme folder to the phone, but again, wait for the guide... Store them in ONE place.
2. Copy the 'startup.txt' file inside the "skins" folder to the 'tool' folder in your memory card. If this does not exist, create it. If you do not have a memory card, copy it to "Others" inside "My favorites".
3. Open the theme folder that you copied to your phone. Click on "Install theme.sh.txt". It will open Notes. Just exit this notes and wait..The theme is being installed!
4. A new note will open confirming the installation. You can now select the themes from Settings. If the themes do not change, restart the phone and select them again..should work now. If not, post a comment!
Note: I made the "Install.sh" file so as to automate the installation of these skins. This is still a work-in-progress and newer versions will be posted from time to time!

Nice work bro one suggestion though it replaces the startup.txt file would have been better if it appends to it. Cheers keep up the good work

Guys if u want to change the default icons
Download the file from below link

extract the rar file and copy the icons folder to the skins folder u have created for installing themes
now go to tool folder
and edit startup.txt add the below line before DONE
mount -o bind /mnt/fat/skins/icons /root/resource/gif
reboot ur moto u will get new icons in ur menu
@Vasanth: I initially thought of appending it...but if they are installing a 2nd skin, and then the 3rd skin, it will mount again and again...slowing down the startup..
I'll just include it as a separate file and ask the user to copy it then..

themes need very clearly guide to install them in my a810 it doesn'nt work.
@ammie: Download Theme Pack 1.2 and follow the same steps...tell me if it works.

I followed the instructions but i didnt get the theme installed.i used
a flashed phone.

Also, please confirm receipt of the USB cable by going to http://my.ebay.in and completing all the steps under 'buying reminders'.
I downloaded the file again with the link u gave.
This is what i did:
(1)Downloaded the file and extracted it.
(2)Created a folder skin in memory card&copied all the contents extracted as is to the skin folder.
(3)first time i created the tool folder and copied the startup.txt from files folder,,,second time i didn't.
(4)then i ran install.sh.txt&closed it.
(5)waited for about 20 mins and nothing happend.
note:i confirmed on ebay.
UPDATE:It worked!at first i was usin the indian firmware and then i used
Yan0 firmware and this it worked.Thank you.

The Indian Firmware is the original version. Its modded version is available on the forums. Will put it up here soon.
